britishairways.jpg Gatwick Airport is the 2nd largest airport in the UK and caters to more than 34 million passengers and flies to more than 200 destinations. It is the busiest in London for Holiday travellers and is very busy in the summer months for this reason but tends to be quieter in the winter months.. Situated 28 miles south of London it easily accessible by both car, train and regular coach and public transport services, many running 24 hours a day. The airport has two terminals, North and South where 90 airlines fly from.

Gatwick airport is the size of a small town with no less than 28000 people working directly for the airport. It is about 11 miles from Heathrow Airport and approximately 12 miles from Stanstead .

The terminals at Gatwick have a range of facilities to cater for both the business traveller and holidaymaker. The business travellers have a range of executive lounges to choose from which allow you to relax or use the state of the art business facilities. The airport has facilities to keep the children happy with play areas and video arcades. A range of restaurants and bars can be found at the airport with prices comparative to that of high streets of the UK. There is also a range of shops to get your duty free

For business or pleasure there are a number of Hotels within the vicinity of Gatwick Airport, most within a 10 minute bus trip. Some hotels provide complimentary transport to and from the hotels other have a small charge. The only hotel linked by covered walkway to Gatwick Airport, is the air-conditioned Hilton, which is only three minutes walk.
